Course Description

Overview of scriptural and theological foundation of diaconal ministry. The seminar will reflect upon The Examination at ordination and where the deacon intersects with the church and the world. The deacon is the icon for servant ministry, the herald of The Good News in Jesus Christ and leads the faithful into the world for mission and ministry.

Requirements - Read "Being A Deacon In The World Today", Rosalind Brown, Morehouse Publishing. Write a brief biography, why do you feel called to the diaconate, your understanding of the diaconate with a mission and ministry to the world.
